Real Food with Steph: Turmeric Latte

When it's cold outside, I like nothing better than to curl up in front of the fireplace with my pups and drink a warm beverage. It's so cozy! I like the turmeric latte because it's a little sweet and spicy.

Turmeric (curcumin) is a powerful anti-inflammatory, and more importantly tastes delicious. The coconut oil adds a nice, creamy fat and the honey packs a sweet punch to this drink. 

TURMERIC LATTE

  • 1 c milk (your choice)

  • 1 T coconut oil

  • 1/2 t turmeric

  • 1/4 t cinnamon

  • 1/4 t cardamom

  • pinch of black pepper

  • 1 T honey

Heat milk over medium heat. Slowly stir in spices and bring to a simmer. Stir in honey and remove from heat. Serve in a cozy mug and indulge!
