Fall Intentions — What are you training for?

As we transition into fall, it’s hard to shake that back-to-school-type feeling, even if it’s been years since your last visit to a classroom. Embrace that mental fresh start by considering your intentions — your goals — for the last quarter of the year. What are you working toward? What do you hope to gain from your Athletes for Yoga practice? Are you training for an event? Or is there something in your work or personal life you still want to manifest in 2012 — a creative project, a new job, more social time, a baby? Whether you consider yourself an athlete or not, we’re all “training” for something — or working to achieve some goal or objective. That clear sense of purpose helps propel us forward, and it’s important to remember that if we don’t know what we’re aiming for, we’ll never arrive.

If nothing comes to mind right away, that’s okay — let your yoga mat be a space where there’s no noise and no limitations. Life is so busy and fast that it’s easy to loose sight of what’s really important to us. By pausing and embracing the present you can hit reset and gain clarity about what your intentions really are.
